Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Srinagar
Early morning transfer to the airport to catch a flight for Srinagar.On arrival at Srinagar, transfer to the hotel.
The beautiful city of Srinagar is nestled in the midst of the great peaks of the Karakoram, Zanskar and Pir Panjal ranges and at a height of 1,730 meters. It is summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir and the center of the valley. It has earned a lot of popularity by travelers, poets, kings and saints for its scenic splendor and delightful ambience. Srinagar is renowned for its enchanting lakes filled with houseboats and shikaras set amidst forested mountain slopes. Afternoon at leisure for your own activities. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Srinagar
On your Kashmir tour you can enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. The most prominent natural feature of Srinagar is the Dal Lake. Spread 6 kms long and 3 kms wide, the lake is divided into four parts by causeways. The lakeside is lined with luxuriant chinars and poplars. The waters of the Dal Lake are dotted with small willow covered islands that give an ethereal ambience to the lake on misty mornings. A unique feature of the lake is the Mihrbahri people, trading in flowers, fruits and vegetables grown on floating gardens on these islands in the lake. The Mihrbahris sell their wares from shikaras, the elongated gondolas that are popular with tourists for touring the lake.
After lunch take a tour of the world famous Mughal Gardens and Shalimar Bagh.You can also visit the Nishat Bagh - made in 1633 by Asaf Khan, the brother of Empress Nur Jehan, the garden has terraced layers with water channels flowing down the center. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Srinagar - Sonmarg - Srinagar
Full day excursion to Sonmarg, situated 84 kms away, is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar.
Sonmarg lies in the heart of a gorgeous valley carved by the river Sindh. It is also known as "Golden meadow". View the gushing river, which is the highlight of this meadow, flowing down from snowy heights into the dense woodlands of firs and silver birches. Glaciers pour down this stream from the Himalayas on to the many camping sites in Sonmarg. A thick forest cover of sycamore, alpine flowers, silver birch, fir and pine, Sonamarg offers adventure in the form of treks, sledging, angling, alpine skiing and white water rafting. Return to Srinagar.Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Srinagar - Pahalgam - Srinagar
Morning excursions to Pahalgam situated at a distance of 94 km. Enroute visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag sulphur spring. Situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River.
Pahalgam is Kashmir's premier resort; cool even during the height of summer when the maximum temperature does not exceed 250C.There is a Shiva temple here, generally considered to be Kashmir's oldest existing temple dating to the 8th Century. Enjoy the natural beauty of the valley. Return to Srinagar.Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
Morning proceed for a full day excursion tour to Gulmarg. The journey to Gulmarg is by road, bordered by avenues of Poplar trees and flat expanses of rice fields interspersed with picturesque villages.
Gulmarg's legendary beauty, prime location and proximity to Srinagar naturally make it one of the premier hill resorts in the country. Gulmarg was a favorite haunt of Emperor Jehangir who once collected 21 different varieties of flowers from here. Today Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty- it also has the highest green golf course in the world, at an altitude of 2,650 m, and is the country's premier ski resort in the winter. Return to Srinagar.Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Srinagar
Take a tour of the old city of Srinagar, home to beautiful sights, smells and sounds. Its labyrinthine roads and bustling bazaars are a photographer's delight. Traditionally dressed men and women on their way to the city's many mosques and shrines, burnt brick buildings with their rich warm color, these are some of the old city's moods which linger in the corners of a traveler's mind, long after one leaves Kashmir. Afternoon at leisure for own activities. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Srinagar - Delhi
Morning at leisure for own activities. Afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Delhi.
On arrival in Delhi, the guests will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09: Delhi
Morning transfer to the international airport to catch a flight for onward destination.
