Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Lady Harding, Mughal Garden is ideally located within the Rashtapasti Bhawan. Mughal Garden is the result of two masterminds, one as mentioned was Sir Edwin Lutyens and the other one was W.R. Mustoe, who planted the proper shrubs and plants and beautified this garden. As the name suggests, Mughal Garden is designed in a Mughal style with a blend of British style. Adorned with Mughal style canals, terraces and fountains, Mughal Garden is a circular garden. Inside Mughal Garden, you will find four waterways with beautiful fountains at the intersections. Mughal Garden in New Delhi is full of flowers like marigold, sweet William, viscaria, roses and bougainvillea and so on. It is believed that the garden houses more than 25 varieties of rose, 13 types of marigolds and 60 types pf bougainvillea. The interiors of the waterways are designed in the shape of lotus leaves with the red sandstone discs.
