Delhi, the capital of India is rightly called the heart of India. Main reason behind this saying is its ideal location that just appears like a heart in a human body. Talking about Delhi Location, we can say it enjoys latitude of 28.38 N and a longitude of 77.12 E. It lies on the banks of Yamuna River.
Considered as the third largest city in India, Delhi is also the National Capital Territory. Surrounded by Haryana in the west and Uttar Pradesh towards the east, Delhi is a land-locked Indian state. Location of Delhi is such that one finds is accessible from anywhere in the world. Inside Delhi too, there is no reason to worry for commuting with the presence of buses, autos, rickshaws and taxis.
Connected ideally with all the major cities of the country and world, New Delhi has an ideal location. Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir are some of the states lying above Delhi. While Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu are some of the states located towards the south of Delhi.
New Delhi, one of the major cities in Indian sub-continent, is located in Indian Peninsula in South Asia. Geographically the Tropic of Cancer passes through India somewhere around Tamil Nadu and New Delhi is way far away from it, thus not affected by the heat so much as the South Indian States are.
